Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Saturday said that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for all vessels except those belonging to the US and Israel.

"As a matter of fact, this Straits of Hormuz is open. It is only closed to the tankers and ships belonging to our enemies, to those who are attacking us and the allies. Others are free to pass," MS Now quoted Araghchi as saying.

Iran has rejected the possibility of any ceasefire in the ongoing conflict until US and Israeli military strikes stop, Reuters reported citing officials.

Kuwait's defence ministry said on Saturday said that an Iranian drone caused damage near US base. "Three members of the armed forces sustained minor injuries," a senior official said.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Saturday stated that Iran will strongly retaliate if its energy facilities will be targeted. "If Iranian facilities are targeted, our forces will strike facilities of American companies in the region or companies in which the United States has shares," Araghchi said, as per the YCJ news agency.

US President Donald Trump urged other nations to send warships to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and safe. In a post on social media platform Truth Social, Trump said, "Many countries, especially those who are affected by Iran's attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending warships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe."

"Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a nation that has been totally decapitated," Trump added.

Iran's news agency, Tasnim, on Saturday urged people to move away from Jebel Ali port in Dubai, Khalifa port in Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah port after the US struck Iran's Kharg Island oil hub.

"These areas have become legitimate targets due to the presence and concealment of US military forces among civilian installations and will be targeted in the coming hours," the agency said.

US Pesident Donald Trump announced on Saturday that multiple nations may send navy ships alongside America’s deployment of navy ships as part of an effort to protect the Strait of Hormuz from Iran’s alleged closing of the waterway.

Through a post in Truth Social, Trump declared that because the countries that are impacted by Iran's attempt to shut down the strait may utilise warships to maintain safety and access to this fundamental means of shipping. Specifically, Trump suggested that China, France, Japan, South Korea and Great Britain would probably consider sending warships to this region for this purpose.

Additionally, Trump also mentioned that the US plan is to continue military action in proximity to Iran's coastline and target Iranian boats and vessels. The White House was not able to be contacted immediately regarding whether countries have made formal commitments to deploy ships to this location.

Explosions were reported over Jerusalem on Saturday after the Israeli military warned that missiles fired from Iran were approaching the area, AFP reported.

The military said its air defence systems had been activated to intercept the incoming threats as the Middle East conflict, triggered by joint US-Israeli strikes on Tehran, entered its third week.

Some oil-loading operations in Fujairah, a key global bunkering hub and crude export terminal in the United Arab Emirates, were suspended on Saturday following a drone attack and fire, according to industry and trade sources.

In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that US interests in the UAE, including ports, docks and military facilities, could be considered legitimate targets. Located outside the Strait of Hormuz, Fujairah serves as the export outlet for about 1 million barrels per day of the UAE’s Murban crude, accounting for roughly 1 per cent of global oil demand.

Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, claimed that the United States is now urging countries, including India, to purchase Russia’s crude oil despite previously pressuring New Delhi to halt such imports.

In a post on the social media platform X, Araghchi said, “The US spent months on bullying India into ending oil imports from Russia. After two weeks of war with Iran, White House is now begging the world, incl India, to buy Russian crude. Europe thought backing illegal war on Iran would win US support against Russia.”

Lebanon’s health ministry said on Saturday said that Israeli strikes in the south of the country killed 14 medical workers and injured six more. The strikes took place in al-Sawaneh and Borj Qalaouiye towns.

The US State Department had announced a 10 million dollar bounty against the new Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei and other senior IRGC officials for allegedly orchestrating the worldwide terror campaigns. The State Department has announced to pay 1o Million US Dollars to the one who provides information about these individuals. 

The bodies of 84 Iranian sailors killed in a US submarine attack on an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka will be repatriated to Iran by a special flight, officials said on Friday. According to reports, the bodies will be transported to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in southern Sri Lanka and flown to Iran on a special aircraft.

An Indian official said the aircraft carrying the bodies may also land in India to pick up crew members from another Iranian naval vessel, IRIS Lavan, which had docked in India after the attack. The plane could also carry some Iranian tourists stranded in the country. 

All six crew members aboard a US military aircraft that crashed in western Iraq have been confirmed dead, the US military said on Friday.

"The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. However, the loss of the aircraft was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire," Reuters quoted a statement from the US Central Command.

A US military aircraft crashed during a refuelling mission in Iraq on Thursday, killing at least four crew members. According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), four of the six crew members on board have been confirmed dead, while rescue efforts are underway for the remaining two.

Earlier, Iranian media reported that a Tehran-backed resistance group had shot down the plane, claiming the group fired missiles at the aircraft, causing it to crash. CENTCOM, however, has dismissed these reports.

Sirens also sounded in Bahrain warning of incoming fire, and in Dubai black smoke billowed from an industrial area after a blaze authorities said was sparked by debris from an interception.

Sri Lanka on Friday handed over the bodies of 45 sailors killed in an attack on an Iranian warship off the island nation's coast to Iran's embassy, the officials said. The Chief Magistrate, Sameera Dodangoda, gave the order on March 11 to the Director of the National Hospital at Karapitiya following a request by the Galle harbour police.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed Pakistan's "full solidarity" with Saudi Arabia as the West Asia crisis escalates. A statement by the PM Office after the meeting and shared on X by PM's spokesperson for foreign media Mosharraf Zaidi in early hours of Friday stated that the Prime Minister "held a restricted meeting" with the Saudi de facto ruler Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah.

Two people were killed after a drone was downed in Sohar, according to Oman News Agency. The drone reportedly fell in the Al-Awahi industrial area, killing two foreign nationals and injuring several others. Authorities also intercepted another drone in the province. The Israeli Air Force has launched a fresh wave of "extensive" airstrikes in Tehran, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. The military said the strikes are targeting infrastructure sites linked to the Iranian regime. Further details were not immediately provided.

The Israeli military said it carried out an airstrike on a bridge in southern Lebanon on Friday, in what appeared to be the first time in the current campaign against Hezbollah that Israel acknowledged targeting civilian infrastructure. The Israeli military stated that the Zrariyeh Bridge, which spans the Litani River, was targeted because it was a key crossing used by Hezbollah militants moving between northern and southern Lebanon, but provided no evidence to support the claim, according to Reuters.

Iranian First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref said the administration has declared the coming week as the "Week of National Unity and Solidarity for Iran," according to the official news agency IRNA. Aref said he had made the decision on behalf of the administration and was inspired by the first message of Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. The message was released earlier in the day and highlighted the need to maintain unity among the Iranian people, Xinhua news agency reported.

Aref said, as stressed by Iran's supreme leader, the people's "effective presence on the scene and maintaining national unity" are the most important props for the country's power and security.

Oil prices were set for weekly gains despite the US easing supply concerns by issuing a 30-day license for countries to buy stranded Russian oil. Brent crude rose 0.1 per cent to 100.56 dollars, while WTI was up 7 per cent for the week, though analysts warned supply issues remain unresolved.

As the Middle East crisis escalates, loud explosions shook Dubai on Friday, with smoke rising over the city’s center. The Dubai Media Office confirmed that debris from an intercepted missile caused a "minor incident" on a building’s facade, but no injuries were reported. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry announced the interception and destruction of two drones in the Eastern region.

On Friday, buildings in Dubai trembled following loud explosions, as a thick plume of smoke rose over the city’s central area. The Dubai Media Office said that debris from the interception caused a "minor incident" on the outside of a building in central Dubai.

Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has stated that the country will continue to block the Strait of Hormuz, the world's busiest oil shipping route. The announcement, which was aired on Iranian state television, was delivered by a newsreader rather than Khamenei himself.

In the statement, Khamenei vowed to "avenge the blood" of Iranians who were killed in the ongoing conflict with the US and Israel. He also warned neighboring countries to stop allowing the establishment of US military bases on their soil.

Khamenei assumed the role of Supreme Leader on March 8, following the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed on the first day of the war.

The younger Khamenei tragically lost his wife and son in the US-Israeli airstrike on his father's compound. His mother was also reportedly killed in the attack, though some Iranian sources have suggested she is still alive.

The United States has issued a 30-day temporary license allowing countries to purchase Russian oil and petroleum products that are currently stranded at sea. According to the US Treasury department’s statement, the license authorises the delivery and sale of Russian crude oil and petroleum products loaded on vessels on or before March 12. The sale will remain valid until April 1.

This temporary license could influence global oil prices as it increases the availability of supply in the international market. If countries start purchasing the stranded Russian oil, it may ease immediate supply shortages and help prevent a sharp rise in prices. However, since the license is limited to 30 days, its long-term impact on global oil prices may be limited.

Amid rising oil prices driven by the ongoing conflict in West Asia, Iran assured the safe passage of Indian-flagged ships late on Tuesday following a telephonic conversation between India’s External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, and his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi. As the world's third-largest oil consumer, India’s energy security remains a priority amidst the turmoil. 

The United States on Thursday lost another plane as a refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq. The US Central Command said that two aircraft were involved in crash in "friendly airspace". It added that the US KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed, while the other plane landed safely. 

"The ⁠incident occurred in friendly airspace during Operation Epic Fury," the statement said, using the codename for the the US operation against Iran.

However, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a group backed by Iran, claimed responsibility for downing the aircraft. In a statement, the outfit said that it had shot at the aircraft "in defense of our ‌country's sovereignty and airspace".

This comes after President Donald Trump had declared that the war against Iran is "going well" and is "very complete," claiming that Iranian military capabilities including its navy and air force have been largely destroyed.
