Saudi-Houthi Conflict: Amid the ongoing military conflicts with Saudi Arabia, the Iran-backed Houthis are now reportedly also trying to corner their enemy on the narrative grounds. As per the New York Times report, the Yemen-based rebel group is using American sex offender and power broker Jeffery Epstein to defame Saudi. The report suggests that the rebels are using articles, slogans, and songs to circulate certain files related by the Department of Justice in the US, which could trouble the royals in Saudi.

Houthi Corners Saudi Arabia

The Houthis have been highlighting and circulating certain materials, including a report suggesting that the Saudi royal court associates had sent tapestries to Epstien with images of Kaaba, considered the holiest site for Muslims. The rebels, for the past few weeks, have focused on certain materials (linked with the Saudis) released by the Department of Justice.

How Contents Are Being Circulated?

The rebel group is circulating such content using popular means, including media statements and songs. In those statements, Houthis usually project themselves as a group fighting for the principles of Islam. It also highlights that those sharing images of Kaaba with the convicts are the ones defaming the religion. The rebel group is backed by some of the famous local artists, making their message more impactful.

Does It Have Any Impact?

While there is no such report confirming the impact of such actions, some of the prominent right-wing influencers have discussed the issue, bringing the issue into the limelight. Jake Shields, a popular right-wing podcaster who often talks about Epstein files, recently praised the rebel group. "I'm a big fan," Shields stated. "I think they're kind of badass," he added.
