An intoxicated woman allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior aboard an American Airlines flight from Baltimore to Miami, prompting a fellow passenger to alert the cabin crew, according to an incident report cited by the New York Post. A video of the incident also went viral on internet.

The incident reportedly occurred on September 11, shortly after the evening flight took off. The woman, identified as 46-year-old Katy Inzer, allegedly removed her pants and began masturbating in her seat while making inappropriate sounds, according to a complaint made by another passenger to a flight attendant.

The flight attendant intervened after being alerted to the situation. According to the report, Inzer stopped, put her clothes back on and subsequently fell asleep for the remainder of the flight.

The case was subsequently forwarded to the FBI because of questions surrounding jurisdiction over the alleged conduct, which occurred aboard an aircraft. The episode comes amid growing concerns over disruptive and inappropriate behavior aboard commercial aircraft. Just days earlier, another passenger on a United Airlines flight reportedly alleged that a man sitting beside her masturbated during a flight from Rochester to Newark.

The latest case remains under investigation, with the FBI expected to determine whether federal jurisdiction applies and what further action, if any, may follow.
