A ride back home that was supposed to be relaxing and would have ended up in just 20 minutes, turned into one of the most horrifically longest Uber rides for a 26-year-old woman in Australia’s Adelaide. The woman, Tayla Pimlott, was reportedly travelling from Campbelltown to her home last year in October, when, as per her claims, the driver masturbated in front of her while driving the car. Recalling the scary incident, Pimlott narrated the ordeal she went through. Frozen in her seat, she reportedly chose to not acknowledge what was happening, to avoid being hurt.
According to her, the terrifying incident unfolded during the rush hour of the day. “Usually, when someone takes their pants down, they ruffle down a bit or something,” she was quoted as saying to Yahoo News. “I saw none of that, I just saw this subtle hand gesture. I could see clearly that he [the Uber driver] had his penis out, and he was masturbating,” she was further quoted as saying.
Rushing into action without being obvious, she reportedly informed about the situation to her mother and her boyfriend. “Mum. I’m about 10 minutes away from home I need you to [wait] outside for me. I’m in an Uber and this man has his penis out,” she was then quoted as saying to Yahoo News.
The woman claimed that she also recorded the driver so that it could be used as evidence against him.
As soon as she reached home, she got out of the car, where her mother was already waiting for her. As per the victim, the driver, with a creepy voice, thanked her in the end. “He fully turned around and looked at me and in the creepiest voice I’ve ever heard he goes- Thank you so much,” she was quoted as saying.
The case was then later reported to the police and Uber as well, however, the company refused to provide the driver’s personal details. They did, however, remove the driver, Pimlott claimed. “We are unable to provide you details of the outcome as we have a strict Privacy Notice which prevents us from sharing account holder information without permission,” said Uber, as per reports.

Later, as per the New York Post, the 29-year-old Rahman Fazeli was arrested ‘namely in an Uber vehicle so as to offend or insult another person’. He then appeared in front of the Adelaide Magistrates Court in March and was reportedly found guilty. However, his sentence was ‘fully suspended by Magistrate John Wells’, with him ‘entering into a $500, 18-month good behaviour bond’, as per New York Post.
