Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, had an unexpected moment on Sunday while welcoming his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, in Islamabad, as he lost balance and tumbled on the floor.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing Dar falling after he stepped forward on the carpet and suddenly lost balance. The Pakistani official present with him and Abdelatty soon extended their hand to pick him up before the camera moved to the other side. Dar fell in a brief but noticeable moment, prompting witty reactions online.

Pakistan has called a meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia to discuss the evolving situation in West Asia and chalk out a way to diffuse tensions between Iran and the US to normalise the Gulf, which is facing a fierce war for the last month.

Pakistan has come forward with an invitation to host negotiations between Iran and the US, after reports surfaced that it, along with Egypt and Turkey, could mediate between the two countries. An X post, extending mediation by Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif, was even endorsed by United States President Trump.

The war between Iran and the US and Israel started after the latter two launched joint strikes against the former on February 28, even as peace talks on the Iranian nuclear programmes were going on.

The campaign, dubbed as Operations Epic Fury by the US and Roaring Lion by Israel, saw decapitating strikes on Iran, killing the former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei among other nearly two dozens of senior leaders and officials.

Iran's retaliation has widened the war theatre as it launched attacks on the neighbouring countries, hosting US bases. Tehran has been attacking Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE. Additionally, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, inflicting economic and energy crisis on the world, especially the Asian countries.
