Once seen as the favorite son of the late Queen Elizabeth II, arrested over links with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the tragic downfall of former Prince Andrew is historic. Earlier on Thursday, after releasing him a few hours after arrest, Thames Valley Police asserted that it was "assessing" allegations that Andrew sent trade reports to Epstein in 2010. The reports also suggest that Andrew is likely to be removed from the line of royal succession. Earlier in 2025, following backlash from the public, he was stripped of all of his titles and ousted to a corner of rural England by his brother, King Charles III.
Early Years Of Andrew
Born on February 19, 1960, at Buckingham Palace, Andrew, in his early days, was considered people friendly and joyful, unlike his elder brother Charles. He was considered favourite son of late Queen Elizabeth II and was appreciated by the British public, especially after his participation in the 1982 Falklands War against Argentina as a helicopter fighter.

'Arrogant Prince'
However, his image drastically changed in 1990s and Andrew was seen as arrogant, brash and rude due to various incidents. After leaving the Royal Navy in 2001, he became a special government trade envoy until 2011; however, the critics questioned his links with the dictators and controversial businessmen during these years.
Titles Stripped
Following major backlash from the public, King Charles III stripped his younger brother of his royal titles and ousted him from his home. While Andrew's image was already tarnished due to his arrogance and poor decisions, the alleged links with Epstein was the last nail in the coffin.
