Iran-US-Israel War LIVE: Ceasefire On Brink As Netanyahu Vows To Keep Striking Lebanon; 'Our Finger Is On The Trigger'

US-Iran-Israel War Live Updates: United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday stated that the US had achieved a "total and complete victory" after agreeing to a two-week ceasefire deal with Iran. This comes after he announced a temporary ceasefire in the ongoing conflict with Iran, agreeing to pause bombing and military attacks. The ceasefire is linked to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, which became a focal point in the conflict that has entered its sixth week.
"Total and complete victory. 100 per cent. No question about it," Trump told AFP in the brief call when asked if he was claiming victory with the ceasefire. Trump added that the US has received a 10-point proposal from Iran, which he called a "workable basis on which to negotiate." But when asked about his original threats to destroy Iran's civilian power plants and bridges if the deal fell apart, Trump said, "You're going to have to see."
The announcement of ceasefire came amid growing speculation about what Trump's next move will be, as he earlier issued strong threats to Iran. “Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE,"" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said that while all military forces have been ordered to stop firing for now, the conflict is not over.
