As questions about whether the US’s strike on an elementary school in Tehran killed 165 schoolgirls and emerging evidence also indicating the same, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, first said that he did not ‘know enough’ about the incident, but later went on to say that he was ready to ‘live with’ whatever the probe team would find.
After initial evidence suggested that the US’s Tomahawk cruise missile was used to strike Iran on February 28, which may have struck a school in Minab city, Trump had said that many countries have the US Tomahawk cruise missiles, which might have targeted the Sharjareh Girls Elementary School in Minab, suggesting that it was Iran.
Did US Kill Over 160 Schoolgirls In Minab
Besides statements from the Iranian government holding the US responsible for the killing of over 165 schoolgirls in Minab, reports by several rights groups and investigations by media houses such as the BBC and the NewYork Times suggested that the US’s Tomahawk being involved in the school hit, on the first day of the US and Israel’s attack on Iran.
The NYT reported, “A body of evidence… including satellite imagery, social media posts and other verified videos — indicates that the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school building was severely damaged by a precision strike that occurred at the same time as attacks on the naval base.” The NYT further said that only the US is using Tomahawk in this war.

The videos verified by the NYT and BBC showed dust and smoke emerging from the elementary school, suggesting the attack.
Iran has rejected the suggestion that it would have killed its own people to blame the US. “Who is attacking us? It's the US and Israel. We are not the aggressors here,” Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.
Reports suggest that nearly 170 people were killed in what Iran’s President described as US-Israeli strikes on the school. Iran held the mass funeral of around 165 schoolgirls and teachers killed in the attack on the elementary school.

Trump Accuses Iran Of Killing Its Own People
Reacting to claims of the US strike killing schoolgirls in Iran, Trump on Saturday said, "We think it was done by Iran. Because they are very inaccurate, as you know, with their munitions. They have no accuracy whatsoever."
Later on Monday, Trump said that the United States was investigating the strike, adding, "Whatever the report shows, I'm willing to live with that report.”
