Coldplay Concert Traffic Advisory: The Navi Mumbai Traffic Police announced the traffic advisory for Coldplay’s highly anticipated performances at Nerul’s DY Patil Stadium. The authorities have declared vehicular restrictions from 2 pm to 12 am on concert days (January 18, 19, and 21) to ensure smooth traffic movement and safety of all the attendees.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Tirupati Kakade emphasised the need for commuters to plan their travel and avoid roads near the stadium during restricted hours. Adequate arrangements will be made to ensure the movement of emergency and essential services remains unaffected, he stated.
Mumbai Traffic Advisory For Coldplay Concert
Vehicles heading to Navi Mumbai from Mumbai are advised to take the Airoli route instead of the Vashi bridge. Commuters travelling towards Pune can use the Mumbra bypass, while local traffic is encouraged to use the internal roads of Navi Mumbai during restricted hours.
Key routes to avoid include the Sion-Panvel Highway (Nerul stretch), Uran Road, Palm Beach Road (Nerul Junction) and the Eastern Express Highway towards Vashi.
For a hassle-free commute, travellers can opt for the Thane-Belapur Road, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) or JVLR and Airoli Bridge if coming from Western Mumbai.
Coldplay’s upcoming shows in Navi Mumbai mark the band’s first performance in India since 2016. Initially planned as a single event, the overwhelming demand from fans led to the addition of a second show in the city. Following their Navi Mumbai performances, the band will also take the stage at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26.
Commuters are urged to stay updated and follow the prescribed routes for a hassle-free experience during the event.
