Meanwhile, the son of businessman Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, has joined Mumbai's Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati Mandal. Anant Ambani is now an honorary member of Mumbai's renowned "King of Lalbaug," also known as Navasacha Ganpati, which means "wish fulfilling Ganpati."

The idea to grant Anant Ambani honorary membership was presented and adopted at the mandal's most recent annual general body meeting.

“The committee has given the go-ahead for his honorary membership. The decision has been taken at the AGM. The honorary membership will be extended every year with the approval of the general body,” said a senior member of the mandal on condition of anonymity to Mid-Day.
