Maharashtra News: A Class 8 student attacked a Class 10 student with a knife in Ahilyanagar of Maharashtra after a dispute over playing cricket. The 15-year-old was stabbed to death by the Class 8 boy after an argument broke out between the students. The injured student was rushed to the hospital, but could not be saved.

What Led To The Shocking Incident?

The incident occurred at a school in Maharashtra’s Ahilyanagar on June 26. A fight broke out between two students over playing cricket during the lunch break. Later, the fight turned into a heated argument, and the 13-year-old Class 8 student stabbed the 15-year-old Class 10 student. The older boy sustained injuries to the stomach and the head. A CCTV footage also revealed that both students were involved in a heated argument. The victim was rushed to a district hospital for emergency treatment.

The Class 8 student was taken into custody by the police as soon as the authorities informed them.

According to media reports, the deceased's father told police that both students lived in the same area and there was an old dispute over playing cricket. The deceased used to go to play cricket in front of his maternal grandmother's house. A neighbouring family was unhappy with this and used to fight over playing cricket.

The deceased's father further revealed that the accused's family had previously threatened his son.
