Maharashtra Covid-19 Update: Maharashtra reported two more COVID-19-related deaths on Tuesday, bringing the state's overall death toll since January 2025 to 14. The most recent fatalities were noted in Miraj and Chandrapur. One of the fatalities had a history of cardiac arrhythmia, chronic bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), according to health officials. People with comorbidities have been involved in the majority of the deaths to far.
Mumbai continues to record the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the state, with 86 new cases reported on Tuesday. Since January, 509 instances have been reported in Mumbai alone. Maharashtra's state health agency reports that the majority of current patients have had minor symptoms.

Maharashtra has tested 12,880 samples for COVID-19 since the start of 2025, and 959 of the tests have come out positive. As of June 3, 510 patients were still active, and 435 patients had recovered.
