Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: The Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 are scheduled to be held today (November 20) when all 288 of the state's constituencies will cast ballots in a single phase. The results will be counted on November 23. The state government has announced a holiday to maximise the voter turnout.
The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), consisting of the Congress, the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, and the Sharad Pawar-led faction of the NCP, is challenging the ruling Mahayuti alliance in the elections. The Mahayuti alliance consists of the BJP, the Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde, and the NCP faction led by Ajit Pawar.
Maharashtra Elections 2024: How To Check Your Name On Voters’ List Online
To check if your name is on the voters' list in Maharashtra, the easiest way is to use the Official Voter Service Portal provided by the Election Commission of India. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you verify your voter registration online:
Visit the Voter Service Portal: Go to the official website of the Election Commission of India https://voters.eci.gov.in/.
Choose Your Search Method: On the portal's homepage, click on the 'Search in Electoral Roll' option in the Services section. You will then be redirected to the electoral roll search page athttps://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in.
Search by Details: This option allows you to search by your name and other personal details. Enter your name, date of birth, state, and district, then click "Search." If you're registered, your polling station and constituency details will appear.
Search by EPIC Number: If you have your Voter ID card, you can search using the Electoral Photo Identification Card (EPIC) number. Select this option, enter your EPIC number, state, and the captcha, then click "Search" to view your voter details.
Search by Mobile Number: You can also search using the mobile number registered with your voter details. Select your state and language, enter the mobile number, complete the captcha, and click on "Send OTP." Enter the OTP you receive and your voter details will be displayed.
