Mumbai Schools Closed: Mumbai and its surrounding districts, including Thane, Raigad, Palghar, and Ratnagiri, are experiencing severe waterlogging due to relentless heavy rainfall. This has significantly impacted the daily life in the state:

- Widespread Disruptions: Roads are flooded due to rainfall in Maharashtra, causing significant traffic congestion and delays in local train and bus services. Train services on the Central and Western Railway lines are running with minor delays.

Are Schools And Colleges Closed In Maharashtra On Monday

While not all the schools and colleges are closed in Maharashtra, the educational institutes will remain closed in significantly affected districts, including Mumbai and Palghar, on Monday, September 29, India TV reported. 

The decision regarding the reopening of the will be taken based on the weather conditions, as per the authorities. The rescue team is on the ground as authorities are planning to relocate residents from vulnerable areas amid the concerning situation due to rising water levels in Palghar and Thane.

CM Fadanvis Orders To Intensify Relief Work

The state government has directed the district officials and disaster management teams to monitor the situation, with Chief Minister Fadnavis ordering teams to intensify the rescue and relocation process.
