Maharashtra Shocker: In a tragic incident, a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her step-father while her mother was out to attend a garba event (a traditional dance) in Maharashtra’s Akola. The girl is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The incident occurred when the girl’s mother left her daughter and son with her husband to attend the Navratri event, as per an NDTV report.
When the mother returned home she found the girl groaning loudly. The 5-year-old girl then narrated the incident. The stepfather has been arrested by the police.
In another news, a 15-year-old girl from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, who escaped her stepfather’s abuse, suffered a heartbreaking ordeal in Jaipur, where she delivered a stillborn baby, police said. The minor, originally from Gorakhpur, had run away from home approximately a year ago due to escalating abuse and domestic tensions at her place. She boarded a train to Ajmer, where, sitting alone at the railway station, she was approached by a man identified as Krishna
“Exactly a year ago, the girl fled from her stepfather’s house. At Ajmer, she was sitting aimlessly at the railway station when one of the accused, Krishna, approached her," a police official stated. Promising her safety and a place to stay, Krishna took her to Jaipur.
According to the police complaint, the girl was first raped by Krishna in December. According to the police complaint, Krishna raped her in December 2024. He later took her to Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, but they returned to Jaipur in January after locals grew suspicious of their relationship, noticing the stark age gap. Back in Jaipur, the girl said Krishna’s friend, Bacchan, repeatedly assaulted her.
