Maharashtra Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai and Pune, are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming few days. The weather department stated that while the state is likely to witness light rainfall on June 9, most of the districts will receive moderate to heavy rainfall on June 10, 11, and 12. It further stated that the rainfall will reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing relief from the scorching heat. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts in the Konkan region, including Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, are expected to witness light to moderate rainfall on Monday and Tuesday. It further stated that the Sindhudurg region is likely to experience heavy rain along with gusty winds on June 10. The IMD stated that multiple northern districts, including Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon, and Nandurbar, are also likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall till June 12.

Apart from this, the weather department also stated that the western region of the state is also likely to receive rainfall. While providing details, the IMD stated that several districts of the western region, including Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Beed, Latur, Nanded, Aurangabad, Hingoli, and Dharashiv, are expected to witness heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms and gusty winds for the next few days.

The weather department further stated that the temperature is likely to increase after June 15. Earlier on Saturday, IMD had advised the residents of the coastal regions to avoid financial activities during the rainfall. Apart from this, the IMD stated that several other states, including Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, are also expected to receive light to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
