Mumbai News:  A viral video on social media shows a minor road rage escalating into a disturbing fight as a man hits, kicks and throws a cab driver on the ground after the latter's vehicle hit the former's Audi. The incident occurred in Mumbai.

In the 30-second clip, a car is seen approaching an Audi from behind, and as the driver applies the brakes, the car just barely brushes the Audi's bumper.

The owner of the Audi, Rishabh Chakravarti, got down to inspect the car for damage together with his wife, Antara Ghosh, and another woman. They became irate and began beating the Ola driver.

The video then shows Rishabh slapping Kayamuddin, lifting him, and slamming him to the ground. The cab driver remains still for some time after his head hits the surface.

Rishabh did not stop here. The people there watched in silence as he kicked the driver who was lying on the ground. At last, the driver—who had sustained head injuries—stands up and holds his head.

According to a police officer who spoke to PTI, the incident occurred on August 18 at approximately 11:20 PM at the entrance of a building opposite a mall in Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

Under the applicable provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police have lodged a case against Rishabh and his wife for allegedly beating the driver.

According to the official who spoke to PTI, police have sent the couple with a summons to appear in court as their accusations and counterclaims are investigated.
