Mumbai Cops Assaulted: A group of five person, including three women, allegedly assaulted police personnel inside a police station in Mumbai. An official on Friday said a case has been registered against them. Police arrested two accused. The incident took place at the Samta Nagar police station in the western suburb of Kandivali on Tuesday night.

A traffic constable intercepted the accused, named Ajay Ramesh Bamane, for drunk driving and brought him to the police station along with three others, who were with him in the car. The accused allegedly verbally abused the traffic constable, after which a dramatic fight unfolded in the police station.

Two of Bamane's friends also reached the police station. When officials from Samta Nagar police intervened, the five accused allegedly manhandled and verbally abused them.

According to police, the ruckus created by the group prompted them to file a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita against them. Police arrested Ajay Bamane and Ganesh Bamane.

Mumbai Police Receives Threatening Message 

In another development, Mumbai Police received a threatening message on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, sent to the official WhatsApp number of the city's traffic police. The message claimed that 34 vehicles in Mumbai had been planted with human bombs and that the city would shake after the blasts. The sender, identifying himself as a member of an organisation calling itself "Lashkar-e-Jihadi," further alleged that 14 Pakistani terrorists had already infiltrated India.

Mumbai Police said, "Traffic Police in Mumbai received threats over their official WhatsApp number. In the threat, a claim has been made that 34 'human bombs' have been planted in 34 vehicles across the city, and the blast will shake the entire Mumbai. The organisation, claiming to be 'Lashkar-e-Jihadi', says that 14 Pakistani terrorists have entered India".
