Mumbai Local Train News: Commuters in Mumbai are likely to face delays and cancellations in train services on Sunday, June 8, as both Central and Western Railways have scheduled maintenance work across multiple sections. The maintenance activity will lead to temporary blocks, affecting the suburban timetable for several hours.
Mumbai Local Train: Central Railway Mega Block From Vidyavihar To Thane Mega
According to Central Railway officials, a Mega Block will be operated on the Mumbai Division from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The engineering and maintenance work will impact all lines except the Port line. On the main line, the 5th and 6th lines between Vidyavihar and Thane will be affected. During this time, CSMT-bound Mail/Express trains will be diverted onto the fast line at Thane, while LTT-bound services will be redirected to the 6th line at Vidyavihar.

Mumbai Local Train: Harbour Line Block To Disrupt Panvel–CSMT Services
On the Harbour line, a block will be in place between Panvel and Vashi (excluding the Port line) from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm. Train services departing Panvel towards CSMT between 10:33 am and 3:49 pm will not run. Similarly, trains heading towards Panvel or Belapur from CSMT between 9:45 am and 3:12 pm will remain cancelled.
Mumbai Local Train: Trans-Harbour Services Cancelled Between Thane And Panvel
Trans-Harbour line services will also be hit. Trains leaving Panvel for Thane between 11:02 AM and 3:53 PM and those from Thane to Panvel between 10:01 AM and 3:20 PM will not operate. However, special local trains will be available on the CSMT–Vashi route. Services will also run between Thane and Vashi/Nerul and Belapur/Nerul and Uran on the Port line during the block period.
Mumbai Local Train: Jumbo Block Between Churchgate And Mumbai Central
On the Western Railway, a Jumbo Block will be conducted from 10:35 AM to 3:35 PM between Churchgate and Mumbai Central for maintenance of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment. During this time, slow trains will operate on fast lines and some services will be short-terminated at Bandra or Dadar. A few Churchgate- and Virar-bound trains will also be cancelled.
Passengers are advised to check updates at station master offices and plan their travel accordingly.
