Mumbai Mega Block: Railway authorities have announced two major blocks for infrastructure upgrades in the Central, Western, and Harbour lines of Mumbai local on Sunday, February 16. A 5-hour-30-minute block will be in place between Virar and Vaitarna from 01:40 hrs to 07:10 hrs, while a 5-hour block will be observed between Saphale and Kelve Road from 01:50 hrs to 06:50 hrs. These blocks are essential for the launching of PSC slabs and girders, crucial for enhancing rail infrastructure.

Mumbai Mega Block: Trains Cancelled On February 16

Mumbai Mega Block: Several local and passenger trains will not run due to the maintenance work:

Virar - Dahanu Road Local (04:50 hrs departure)

Dahanu Road - Churchgate Local (07:00 hrs departure)

Virar - Dahanu Road Local (05:35 hrs departure)

Dahanu Road - Churchgate Local (07:10 hrs departure)

Mumbai Mega Block: Trains Partially Cancelled (Short-Terminated/Originated)

Some long-distance trains will either start or terminate at different stations instead of their usual endpoints:

Surat - Virar Passenger (Feb 15): Cancelled between Palghar and Virar

Virar - Bharuch Passenger: Cancelled between Virar and Palghar

Dahanu Road - Panvel Passenger: Cancelled between Dahanu Road and Vasai Road

Dombivli - Boisar Passenger: Cancelled between Vasai Road and Boisar

Mumbai Mega Block: Trains Regulated Aand Rescheduled

In addition, multiple long-distance express trains will be regulated or rescheduled, with delays ranging from 20 minutes to over an hour. Key affected trains include:

Bandra Terminus - Gorakhpur Antyodaya Express: Delayed by 1 hour

Secunderabad - Rajkot Superfast Express (Feb): Delayed by 1 hour

Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Gujarat Superfast Express: Delayed by 40 minutes

Mumbai Central - Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express: Delayed by 30 minutes

Bandra Terminus - Surat Superfast Express: Delayed by 25 minutes

Barauni - Bandra Terminus Avadh Express: Delayed by 1 hour

Indore - Mumbai Central Avantika Express: Delayed by 30 minutes

Jaipur – Mumbai Central Superfast Express: Delayed by 25 minutes

Dahanu Road - Churchgate Local (04:40 hrs departure): Delayed by 30 minutes

Delhi Sarai Rohilla - Bandra Terminus Garib Rath Express: Delayed by 20 minutes

WR will undertake two blocks on 16th February 2025 for launching of PSC slab and girder; a 5 hrs 30 mins block, from 01:40 hrs to 07:10 hrs between Virar & Vaitarna stations and a 5 hrs block from 01:50 hrs to 06:50 hrs between Saphale & Kelve Road stations.

Mumbai Mega Block: Passengers are advised to check Western Railway’s official channels for real-time updates and make alternate travel arrangements where necessary. While the disruptions may cause inconvenience, these upgrades are aimed at improving rail infrastructure and ensuring safer journeys in the future.
