Mumbai Mega Block News: Passenger planning to use western railway on Sunday June 15 should brace for cancellation and delay as authorities have announced a mega block of 5 hours on western railway between Santacruz and Goregaon. According to Western Railway Chief Public Officer, Shri Vineet Abhishek, the mega block have been placed to carry out several infrastructure work to smoothen the commute service, including maintenance work on track, signalling systems, and overhead wires. The services will remain suspended for 5 hours from 10 am to 3 pm.
'' To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of five hours will be taken on UP and Down slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon Station from 10:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs on Sunday, i.e. June 15, 2025,'' a post shared by official handle of Western Railways read.
All the trains between Santacruz And Goregaon, usually running on slow line will be diverted on fast line, consequently they will not halt at a few stations like Vile Parle and Ram Mandir stations. The train will skip Vile Parle for the station is short there for a train running on fast line and Ram Mandir station will skipped as there is no station for fast line trains. Commuters will not have to suspend their journey as Harbour line trains will stop at both Vile Parle and Ram Mandir station.
Some local train services will also be cancelled while a few trains between Borivali and Andheri on the Harbour Line will terminate at Goregaon during the block hours.

Commuters are advised to staty updated and check with local stations in case of any sudden change and alternatives available.
