Mumbai Metro App: Commuters in Mumbai will no longer need to buy separate tickets for different metro lines, thanks to the launch of the OneTicket app. The digital platform allows passengers to book a single ticket covering multiple lines, offering a smoother and faster travel experience.
The app has been developed by SequelString in partnership with Mumbai Metro One and is integrated with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). It was first tested on Metro Line 3 in June 2025 and has now been upgraded for wider use.

The OneTicket app generates a QR-based ticket that can be scanned directly at metro entry and exit gates, removing the need for multiple transactions. This is expected to be a major relief for commuters, especially as Mumbai’s metro network, currently spanning 70 km, is set to expand to 340 km in the coming years.
Available on Android under the name OneTicket and on iOS as OneTicketIndia, the app has been designed for easy use. Passengers can register with a mobile number and OTP, enter their starting and destination stations, choose ticket quantity, and pay via UPI, debit, or credit cards. The system then issues an instant QR code for travel. The app also provides information on stations and routes to assist both daily travellers and first-time users.
Ravish Sahay, CEO of SequelString AI, called the launch “a landmark moment” that combines AI, mobility and digital commerce to improve urban travel. Nitin Nair, Senior Executive Director at ONDC, said the integration enables end-to-end journey planning, giving the example of booking a single ticket for travel between Dahisar and BKC.
