Mumbai News: A high alert was issued in Mumbai on Monday evening after a massive explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi killed at least eight people and injured several others. Additional security arrangements have been made across the financial capital as a precautionary measure.

According to officials, all police stations were directed to step up vigilance immediately after news of the Delhi blast broke. Special instructions were issued to increase police presence in high-footfall areas such as railway stations, markets, places of worship and major tourist attractions.

A Free Press Journal report cited an officer as saying, “Random checks and frisking will continue throughout the night to ensure public safety.” Patrolling units have been deployed at key locations, and nakabandis have been set up across major junctions.
