The Mumbai Police on Thursday said former celebrity manager Disha Salian died by suicide and no foul play angle came to the fore during the probe, PTI reported. The SIT made this submission in the Bombay High Court, stating that there was no conspiracy in the case. Disha ended her life by allegedly jumping from the window of her flat in a building in Mumbai. No signs of sexual or physical assault were found on her body, police said in an affidavit filed in the HC last month, citing the autopsy report.
The affidavit added that Disha was under tremendous mental stress due to a dispute with her family and also because her business deals were not working out.

Disha’s father, however, reiterated that his daughter was murdered after gangrape.
The Mumbai Police said the findings by the SIT were matching with the earlier probe, adding that the probe was still ongoing in the case.
Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena has sought an apology from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other BJP leaders for dragging Aaditya Thackeray’s name in the case.
"Now, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis should apologise. Narayan Rane's son Nitish Rane, Devendra Fadnavis, other BJP leaders, Eknath Shinde, all of them should apologise to Shiv Sena (UBT) and Aaditya Thackeray," Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said.
NCP (SCP) leader Rohit Pawar also lambasted the BJP for attempting to associate Aaditya Thackeray with Disha’s death.
"Aaditya Thackeray had no relation to this incident. The BJP and its allies attempted to take political advantage by associating Disha Salian's name with Aaditya Thackeray... For political gain, these leaders tried to use the name of a person who is no more," he said to ANI.
In April, the deceased’s father also filed a writ petition in the High Court, alleging Aaditya Thackeray’s involvement in his daughter’s death.
