Mumbai Local Train: The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Central Railway informed that local trains were delayed by about 10 minutes on both the main line and the harbour line due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai. The official also noted that while water had accumulated at some spots, trains continued to run with all necessary precautions.

Despite continuous rainfall since last night, spokespeople from Western Railway and Central Railway told ANI that suburban services were running normally. However, rail commuters reported waterlogging at Dadar, Kurla, and Bandra stations, causing local train delays of 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, water-filled potholes further worsened road traffic across the city.

Western Railway announced on its official X handle Monday morning that train services are running normally. “Despite continuous rainfall since last night, Western Railway’s local trains over the Mumbai Suburban Section are running normally,” the post said.
Red Alert In Mumbai
1. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad for three hours, warning of intense to very intense rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph.
2. Mumbai witnessed heavy downpours from midnight into Monday morning, causing waterlogging in low-lying areas such as King’s Circle, Lalbaug, Worli, Dadar, Parel, and Kurla. Water-filled potholes further aggravated road traffic conditions.
3. Heavy rainfall disrupted traffic across several parts of Mumbai, prompting the Mumbai Traffic Police to close the Andheri Subway due to about one-and-a-half feet of accumulated water.

4. Traffic was also reported to be moving slowly from Agripada Police Station to Maratha Mandir Junction because of waterlogging.
5. According to the 10 a.m. nowcast from the Indian Meteorological Department, an orange alert was issued for Pune, Ratnagiri, Thane, Palghar, and Ahmednagar, while a red alert was declared for Mumbai Suburban and the city.
