Mumbai Building Collapse: Several people were injured after a portion of a buil collapsed in Bharat Nagar, Bandra East area in Mumbai on Friday Morning. Few people were suspected to be trapped under debris as the rescue operaton was underway.
So far, 12 people rescued from under the debris and they were admitted to the nearest hospital, where they were undergoing treatment.
The incident occurred at 7:50 am today. According to the initial investigation, a cylinder blast took place in the building, after which some parts of the building suddenly collapsed.

Chaos Prevails After Blast
Mumbai Police said the relief and rescue work was being carried out by the Fire Department, police and the BMC at the spot.
A huge sound of blast created panic among neighbours in the densely populated area. People gathered at the incident site and called the authorities. With the support of locals, the BMC and the fire brigade officials launched a rescue operation. They took all the injured to the nearby hospital. The blast caused chaos in the locality, but police arrived at the site on time and controlled the situation.
