Mumbai Traffic News: The Mumbai Traffic Police has issued an advisory across a few roads in the city on Friday ahead of the scheduled Maratha quota rally by activist Manoj Jarange Patil at Azad Maidan Today. The protest is expected to cause traffic movement hurdles; hence, the traffic police have imposed restrictions to avoid any inconvenience and unpleasant happenings.
 
The restrictions have been imposed on several roads in the Mankhurd and Trombay areas. The vehicular movement will be restricted on the route from 12:00 am on August 29 till further notice, as the protest is scheduled to reach Azad Maidan in South Mumbai on Friday.
Maratha Quota Rally March Route
 
The Maratha quota rally has begun from Beed in Maharashtra and will reach Azad Maidan in Mumbai on Friday from Navi Mumbai-Sion Panvel Marg – Panjarpol.
 

Mumbai Traffic Advisory On Friday: List Of Closed Roads

- Panvel-Sion Road: Completely closed for all vehicular traffic except emergency services
 
- V.N. Purav Panvel Sion Road: Closed from Vashi Jakat Naka to Mankhurd Road

- Eastern Freeway: Closed for all vehicular traffic except emergency services

Other closed roads:

   - P.D'Mello Road
 
   - Wallchand Hirachand Marg

   - Dr. Dadabhai Nauroji Road

   - Hajarimal Somani Road
 
Prohibited Routes:

- From Vashi: No vehicles allowed to go to Panjarpol-Freeway via Southbound
 
- From V.N. Purav Road: No vehicles allowed to go to Panjarpol-Freeway via Southbound, Deonar Farm Road to Panjarpol, Trombay Chita Camp to V.N. Purav Marg to Freeway and Panjarpol

- From Sion Panvel Marg: No vehicles allowed to proceed to Mankhurd Traffic Division and then to Panjarpol.
 
- From C.G. Gidwani North Channel: No vehicles allowed to go to Panjarpol.

- From East Free Road North Channel: Vehicles are not permitted to descend to Panjarpol Junction.
 
- South Channel on East Free Road: Vehicles coming from the IOC Junction and the Govandi Railway Bridge are not allowed.
 
- From Vaman Tukaram Patil Marg: Vehicles cannot proceed to Panjarpol Junction and then to East Free Road North Channel.
 

Mumbai Traffic Advisory On Today: Alternate Routes To Be Used

From Vashi: Vehicles can take a right turn from Southbound to Mankhurd Junction Bridge and then enter Mumbai city via Veer Jijabai Bhosale Road to IOC Junction and Chhedanagar Road.

To Trombay and the Freeway:  Vehicles coming from Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road can enter Mumbai via Chhedanagar Road.

From Chhedanagar: Vehicles can take a right turn and enter Mumbai via Amarmahal, proceed to Nehrunagar Bridge, continue to Sumannagar Junction, and then head towards Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road.
 
From V.N. Purav Marg South Channel to Panjarpol and East Free Road:

   - Take a right turn from Punjabwadi Junction
   - Proceed via Hemant Karkare Gas Pump towards Govandi Station
   - Take a left from Gaondevi Chowk
   - Take a right at Neelam Junction
   - Continue to IOC Junction and take a left turn to enter the city

From Deonar Farm Road to Panjarpol:
 
   - Go straight from Punjabwadi Junction to Hemant Karkare Gas Pump towards Govandi Station
   - Take a left from Gaondevi Chowk
   - Take a right at Neelam Junction
   - Continue to IOC Junction and take a left to enter Mumbai

From Trombay Chita Camp to V.N. Purav Marg to Freeway and Panjarpol:
   - Take a right turn from R.K. Chowk
   - Take a left at Sion Panvel Marg North Channel
   - Take a left at Mankhurd Railway Bridge T Junction
   - Enter Mumbai via Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road through Chhedanagar
 

For vehicles travelling from C.G. Gidwani North Channel to Panjarpol:

1. Take a left turn from the Golf Club
2. Proceed straight through Chimani Garden to Diamond Garden
3. Take a right turn from Sion Trombay Marg North Channel
4. Take a left turn at Panjarpol Junction
5. Take a left turn onto Vaman Tukaram Patil Road
6. Continue through Mankhurd Traffic Division via IOC Junction
7. Take a right turn onto Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road towards Navi Mumbai.
