Mumbai Weather: City Wakes Up To Cooler Morning As Minimum Drops To 17.2°C; Will It Rain? | Check Forecast and AQI

Mumbai Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said residents woke up to a slightly cooler Monday morning, with the minimum temperature dropping to 17.2 Degree Celsius. As the day progresses, the maximum temperature is likely to climb to around 33 Degree Celsius, bringing warmer conditions. Air quality has shown improvement, with the city’s overall AQI recorded at 125 on Monday morning, though some areas reported poorer air quality with levels touching 232.

The weather office also noted that no rainfall was recorded across Maharashtra in the 24-hour period ending Saturday morning. However, seasonal rainfall totals varied widely, ranging from 41.2 mm in Dharashiv to 405.7 mm in Ratnagiri.

18 December: Clear skies will continue, with a maximum of around 33 Degree Celsius and a minimum of 18 Degree Celsius. No warnings issued.

19 December: The forecast indicates clear weather, with daytime temperatures around 33 Degree Celsius and night lows near 18 Degree Celsius. No warnings issued.

20 December: Clear skies are likely to persist, with a daytime high of about 33 Degree Celsius and a low of 19 Degree Celsius. No warnings issued.

Maharashtra Weather Update 

The weather department said the intense cold conditions that prevailed across Maharashtra over the past few days are expected to ease in the coming week. However, chilly conditions will persist, particularly during the night and early morning hours. Over the next 24 hours, minimum temperatures in most regions are likely to range between 10 and 16 Degree Celsius, while maximum temperatures may remain between 22 and 26 Degree Celsius. Coastal areas are expected to experience higher humidity after sunrise.

The financial capital’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 132 in the moderate category at 8 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Other stations recorded varying levels, with Borivali East at 100 (satisfactory), Colaba at 116 (moderate), Ghatkopar at 158 (moderate), Kandivali West at 119 (moderate), Malad West at 145 (moderate), and Nerul in Navi Mumbai at 123 (moderate).
