Mumbai Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms along with lightning and light to moderate rains, gusty winds. The weather department has also issued a fresh yellow alert for the same.

IMD has released its most recent weather forecast for Mumbai, which calls for a partly overcast sky with the potential for light rain on Wednesday, May 14.

Temperatures will fluctuate from a low of 26 degrees Celsius in the morning and a warm 35 degrees Celsius during the day.

The Santacruz observatory in suburban Mumbai recorded a high temperature of 34.3 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 26.3 degrees Celsius, according to the weather agency.

The city observatory in Colaba recorded a maximum temperature of 34.1 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 27.6 degrees Celsius, according to statistics from the meteorological department.

According to IMD's most recent forecast, 'partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain' has been expected for the city and its suburbs during the next 24 hours.

Weather experts forecast that around May 14, atmospheric and oceanic conditions will be favourable for the southwest monsoon to arrive over the Andaman Sea and surrounding regions. This is quite similar to the usual onset date of May 15 in the area.
