Mumbai Team India Victory Parade: In a scene that was both joyous and chaotic, thousands of enthusiastic fans gathered at Mumbai's iconic Marine Drive on Thursday to celebrate the Indian cricket team's victory at the T20 World Cup. However, the celebration took a turn as several spectators were reported to be injured and faced difficulties breathing amid the overwhelming crowd.
Eyewitness Ravi Solanki recounted the events, stating that the crowd had been steadily growing throughout the afternoon, anticipating the arrival of the Indian team between 5 pm and 6 pm. "The police struggled to manage the situation and when the team finally appeared, the crowd surged forward, causing some people to fall and become trapped," he said.

The Hindustan Times report quoted, One of the victims, Rishab Mahesh Yadav as describing his experience. "The crowd was simply too much. I fell and got caught in the chaos, struggling to breathe. I lost consciousness and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment, but I'm doing better now," he shared.
The open-top bus parade, led by Captain Rohit Sharma and his team, was met with a rapturous response from the fans. Throughout the procession, the players proudly held the coveted T20 World Cup trophy aloft, acknowledging the unwavering support of their devoted supporters.
Some fans, in their enthusiasm, even climbed trees to catch a better glimpse of their cricketing heroes as the bus passed by. The players, in turn, delighted the crowd by distributing autographed balls and posing for selfies.
At the Wankhede Stadium, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) presented the Indian team with a cheque worth Rs 125 crore, a reward for their outstanding performance on the global stage.
