A man allegedly threw the body of her lover in the Indrayani river, who died during an abortion, and her two children into the waterbody in Maharashtra’s Pune. The incident occurred on July 9, when the 25-year-old pregnant woman died following an abortion facilitated by her lover, identified as Gajendra Dagadkhaire. Police have arrested the accused along with his accomplice, Ravikant Gaikwad and an investigation is underway.
The woman, estranged from her husband, was in a relationship with Dagadkhaire, leading to her pregnancy. She passed away on July 8 due to medical negligence at Amar Hospital after being sent to Thane for an abortion.
Following her death, Dagadkhaire and Gaikwad transported her body back to Pune. They threw her body into the Indrayani river near Talegaon. When her children, aged two and five, began crying, the duo also pushed them into the water, police said.
