The decision was taken after the driver filed a separate complaint with the Yerawada police, alleging that he was facing pressure from the Agarwal family, the teenager's family, to take the blame for the accident. In response, the Pune Police have arrested the minor's grandfather for the alleged "wrongful confinement" of the family driver. The teenager's father, Vishal Agarwal, who is already in judicial custody in connection with the car accident, has also been named in this new case.
