Samruddhi Expressway Toll Tax: After the inauguration of the final stretch between Igatpuri of Nashik district and Amane in Thane district, the 701-km Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg expressway connecting Mumbai and Nagpur is now fully operational.
A revised toll rate has been issued for vehicles on this expressway by the Maharashtra government, which will be effective till December 2032. State’s Public Works Department (PWD) has notified these rates originally on June 4, this year, and it will be rolled out in a phased manner in three phases. Each phase will increase an average of 20 per cent on the toll rate across vehicle classes.
Phase 1 of the toll rate on the Samruddhi corridor is effective from April 1 2025. The second phase will be applicable from April 1, 2028. The third and final phase will come into effect from April 2031 and will remain in place until December 10, 2032.
Here’s List Of Revised Toll Tax Across Vehicle Classes
Light motor vehicles: Rs 2.45 per kilometre (up from Rs 2.06)
Light commercial vehicles: Rs 3.96 per kilometre (up from Rs 3.32)
Two-axle heavy vehicles: Rs 8.30 per kilometre (up from Rs 6.97)
Three-axle heavy vehicles: Rs 9.05 per kilometre (up from Rs 7.60)
Heavy construction machinery: Rs 13.02 per kilometre (up from Rs 10.93)
Oversized vehicles (7+ axles): Rs 15.84 per kilometre (up from Rs 13.30)
Total Toll Charges For Full 701-Km Journey
Light motor vehicles: Rs 1,717.45 (up from Rs 1,444.06)
Light commercial vehicles: Rs 2,775.96 (up from Rs 2,327.32)
2-axle heavy vehicles: Rs 5,818.30 (up from Rs 4,885.97)
3-axle heavy vehicles: Rs 6,344.05 (up from Rs 5,327.60)
Heavy construction machinery: Rs 9,127.02 (up from Rs 7,661.93)
Oversized vehicles: Rs 11,103.84 (up from Rs 9,323.30)
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, during the inauguration, announced plans to link the Samruddhi Express to Vadhavan Port in Palghar district to further enhance economic growth.
