The Mahabharata is a great historical, cultural, and religious work. This magnificent epic can offer us priceless lessons about leadership, strategy, human behaviour, and human resources (HR) management. In this enormous epic, thousands of major people played a crucial role. However, no one played a more significant role than Lord Krishna out of the thousands of people who had a part to play in this greatest epic. Sometimes, even without participating actively, he had an impact on the entire outcome. Let us check out the 5 best strategies employed by Lord Krishna that led to the victory of Pandavas over Kauravas on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

5 Best Strategies Of Lord Krishna The Led Pandavas To Win The Mahabharata War

1. Lord Krishna Became A Skilled Salesman And Portrayed Himself As An Ordinary individual With No Power

Lord Krishna led an army of Narayanas, expert cowherds who were very strong fighters. When Duryodhana and Arjuna approached Krishna to ask for his army, Krishna shrewdly replied that he would not be taking part in the battle. He would be an inept charioteer with no weapons. As we are already aware, Duryodhana decided on the million Narayanas. However, Lord Krishna was the expert, who purposefully portrayed himself as unuseful in front of Duryodhana.

2. Krishna Protected Arjuna From Bhishma And Plotted Bhishma’s Death

Bhishma had already assured Duryodhana that if Krishna didn't take up arms, he would kill Arjuna. When the conflict between Arjuna and Bhishma broke out, Bhishma came extremely near to defeating Arjuna. Lord Krishna knew that if Bhishma used all of his abilities, Arjuna was no match for him. At that point, Krishna seized a chariot wheel and sprinted in the direction of Bhishma. Thereafter, Arjuna was saved when Bhishma placed his bow and arrow down due to Krishna's act.

Further, we all know that Amba was reborn as Shikhandi. When Bhishma saw Shikhandi approaching, he was aware of this and lowered his weapons. Arjuna was told by Krishna to remain concealed behind Shikhandi throughout, and when Bhishma eventually let down his guard, Arjuna killed him.

3. Lord Krishna Eliminated Dronacharya

Eldest Pandava Yudhisthira was well known for constantly stating the truth in the Mahabharata. On the battlefield, Dronacharya, the teacher of the Pandavas and Kauravas, was practically impregnable. He could not have been beaten by the Pandavas in a direct conflict. Therefore, Krishna persuaded Yudhisthira to tell a half-lying, which isn't exactly a lie. It was the elephant, not Ashwatthama, who was declared dead by Yudhisthira. Drona shed a tear at the loss of his kid while not having the slightest doubt in Yudhisthira's assurance. His head was severed by Dhristhadumnya.

4. Duryodhana’s Body Became Destructible Because Of Lord Krishna

Due to her commitment to be blindfolded despite being able to see, Gandhari amassed a lot of power. When she agreed to take off her blindfold for the final time, she made the decision to channel all of her abilities into Duryodhana. As Duryodhana was making his way to Gandhari's chamber, Krishna made fun of him for visiting his mother while entirely undressed because he knew that doing so would grant him invincibility. The area of Duryodhana's body where he is most susceptible was covered by him. His remaining physique had steel-like strength.

5. Lord Krishna Plotted The Demise Of Duryodhana By Bheema And Also Intervened In Between

Lastly, during the Mahabharata war, only Duryodhana remained, and Balarama watched as Bhima and Duryodhana engaged in combat since he had instructed them in the usage of a mace. Bhima was worn out because Duryodhana was a greater combatant. Krishna smacked Bhima's leg at that point to remind him of the vow he had made to break Duryodhana's thighs and consume his blood. By violating the laws of war, Bhima injured Duryodhana fatally. Due to Bhima's disregard for the laws of war, Balarama became furious and decided to kill him with his own mace. Lord Krishna intervened and held Balaram by giving him a hug saving Bhima. Afterwards, Bhima killed the evil Duryodhana.
