Life Lessons From Mahabharata: The two main epics of ancient India are the Mahabharata and the Ramayana. The great Kurukshetra War, which lasted roughly between the eighth and ninth centuries, is described in this poem, which is also the longest verse ever written. The fight between two groups of relatives is described, as well as the destinies of the Pandava and Kaurava princes and their heirs. The Pandavas triumphed after 18 days of fighting in the Kurukshetra War. The battle, on the other hand, completely destroyed the innocence of the human mind and gave rise to enmity, greed, and conceit, as well as the modern human mind. The epic presents a nuanced interpretation of humanity that takes into account perspective, ideas, riches, achievement, expectations, life, death, and much more. There are a lot of lessons to be learnt from this great epic, 5 of which are mentioned below.

5 Life Lessons From Mahabharata

1. Defend what's right by any means necessary - At first, Arjuna was hesitant to fight his relatives. However, Lord Krishna reminded him that even if it entailed going against one's own family, one must uphold Dharma (duty). As a result, Arjuna had to carry out his duty as a revered Dharma fighter.

2. Half knowledge can be hazardous - Abhimanyu, the son of Arjuna, shows us the detrimental effects of incomplete knowledge. Abhimanyu was aware of how to get into the Chkaravyuh, but he was unaware of how to exit, which ultimately led to his demise.

3. Don't let greed influence you - Out of his greed, what did Yudhishthir obtain? Instead, he lost everything he owned, including his kingdom and his money. And to squander a woman on gambling in the name of arrogance! Hence, it is to learn that greed leads to destruction.

4. Despite all obstacles, we must not give up on life - The'suta-putra' Karna struggled through life from the moment of his birth, overcoming prejudice and shame at every turn. He nearly turned into a puppet in the hands of destiny. But nothing could ever stop him from working towards his objective. And his love for his mother knew no bounds—he even gave up his kavachkundal(his life saviour) at her request.

5. Nothing Surpasses The Eternal Bond Of Friendship - We all aspire to have a friendship like Lord Krishna and Arjuna because of their bond. The Pandavas survived their battle thanks to Lord Krishna's inspiration and unwavering support. He also recited the confidential knowledge - Srimad Bhagavad Gita to the warrior prince to instil confidence in him. Nobody will ever forget the famous dice scene where Draupadi's husbands bet her away to ruin and Krishna saved her. On the other hand, the friendship between Karna and Duryodhan is no less admirable.
