7 Famous Temples In Andhra Pradesh
1. Mallikarjuna Temple - One of Lord Shiva's twelve jyotirlingas in India is the Mallikarjuna Temple, which is situated in Srisailam atop the Nallamala Hills. This temple is revered by both the Shaivism and Shaktism sects of Hinduism and is regarded as one of the eighteen Shakti peethas of Goddess Parvati. Lord Shiva is portrayed in this temple as Mallikarjuna, and Parvati is portrayed as Brahmaramba.
2. Tirumala Venkateswara Temple - Shri Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, a Vaishnavite shrine in the Chittoor district, is renowned for being the wealthiest Hindu temple in the entire world. In Andhra Pradesh, the Tirupati Balaji Temple honours Venkateswara, who is thought to be a manifestation of Lord Vishnu. This temple, which goes by the name Temple of Seven Hills, is decorated with Dravidian architecture.
3. Simhachalam Temple - The sacred Simhachalam Temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha and it is well-known for being among the most popular tourist destinations in Andhra Pradesh. Perched atop the Simhachalam hill in Andhra Pradesh, this Visakhapatnam temple showcases a blend of Odisha, Chalukya, and Chola architectural traditions.
4. Srikalahasti Temple - One of Andhra Pradesh's most well-known temples, the Srikalahasti Temple, is situated 36 kilometres from the Tirupati temple. Lord Shiva is the primary deity at the temple, and the Kalahasti temple is highly revered by Hindu followers. Constructed by Krishnadevraya in 1516, this temple features elaborate sculptures that portray a variety of mythological scenes, as well as a lovely entryway. Another name for this is the Kashi of the South.
5. Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple - This temple, which is the focal point of Srisailam, is situated on the southern bank of the Krishna River. One of the town's most well-known locations, its origins may be traced back to the previous six centuries in India. King Harihara Raya of Vijaynagar constructed this temple, which captivates with its opulence and exquisite construction. The idol of the sage Bringi, who was punished by Goddess Parvati for worshipping Lord Shiva, is housed at this temple, according to local folklore.
6. Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple - Dedicated to the goddess Padmavathi, this temple is located a short distance from the city centre. This location, which is regarded as one of Tirupati's sacred sites, is the source of numerous legends and folklore. Legends around town state that while doing a yajna, Akasha Raja of Thondamandalam dug through the ground and discovered a girl hidden inside a lotus flower. The girl eventually wed Lord Venkateshwara.

7. Mangalagiri Temple - The magnificent temple in Guntur, Seemandhra, Andhra Pradesh. Considered to be among India's holiest sites, the temple is one of the eight major Mahakshetrams. In Indian mythology, the Mangalgiri is considered to have been the site of Lord Vishnu's manifestation, while Goddess Lakshmi is said to have carried out penance at the top of the mountain.
