7 Goswami Temples Of Vrindavan

1. Shri Radha Damodar Temple - One of the most significant of the "Seven Goswami Temples" was built by Srila Jiva Goswami, who was Srila Rupa Goswami's nephew and student. Rupa Goswami created the original Radha Damodara idol by hand and presented it to Jiva as a gift. This deity is currently worshipped in Jaipur, where all of the Gaudiya Goswamis' deities were removed for safety out of concern that Aurangzeb's forces might damage them. Before departing for the United States on a mission to proclaim the holy names of Lord Krishna, His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON and the Hare Krishna Movement spent six years in Radha Damodar Mandir from 1959 to 1965. It was during this time that he wrote various publications, including Srimad Bhagavatam and Krishna Book.

2. Radha Gokulananda Temple - Lokanatha Goswami founded this magnificent temple. During his last years, he used to visit here to do bhajan. He was one of the well-known Gaudiya Goswamis, even though he was not one of the Six Goswamis, and his temple is one of the well-known "Seven Goswami Temples." It is common to refer to Lokanatha as the "Seventh Goswami" of Vrindavana. Even though he established the Radha Gokulananda temple, he himself was a devotee of the god Shri Shri Radha Vinoda, whom he found in Kishori-kunda in Umraya.

3. Radha Gopinath Temple - Situated on the Yamuna Ji bank, Radha Gopinath is regarded as one of Vrindavan's oldest temples. More than five thousand years ago, Vrajanabha, the great-grandson of Lord Krishna, placed the first Gopinath Deity in Vrindavan. At Banshivat on the Yamuna River, Paramananda Bhattacharya found the Deity in the dirt approximately 500 years ago. Madhu Pandit Goswami, a close friend of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and a disciple of Shri Gadadhar Pandit, worshipped the Gopinath Deity.

4. Radha Shyamsundar Temple - The Shri Radha Damodar Temple and the Shri Radha Shyamsundar Temple are close to one another. The deities developed and adored by Gaudiy-Vedant-Acharya Shri Baladev Vidyabhushan are really beautiful. They are called Shri Radha Shyamsundar. It is said that Shri Radha Shyamsundar emerged immediately from Shri Radharani's heart. The shrine of Shri Shyamanand Prabhu is located across from the temple's main entrance.

5. Shri Radha Raman Temple - One of the renowned Six Goswamis of Vrindavana, Gopala Bhatta Goswami founded the Shri Radha Raman Temple. To the delight of Gopala Bhatta, the Radharamana deity unexpectedly presented itself one day from a shalagrama-shila.

6. Shri Radha Govind Dev Temple - This temple is one of the renowned "Seven Goswami Temples," founded by Shri Rupa Goswami, who found the Lord Govinda deity buried beneath the ground at the location of the stately Govindaji temple. The Govindaji yoga path is the location where Vajranabha Maharaja, the great-grandson of Krishna, first established the deity Govindaji five thousand years ago. During the Mughal Empire, the original deity of Govind Dev Ji relocated to Jaipur.
