Amavasya June 2024: The Amavasya tithi that falls in the Hindu lunar month of Jyeshtha is known as Jyeshtha Amavasya. In Hinduism, the day of Amavasya is dedicated for rituals such as Pitru Tarpan, Kaal Sarpa Dosha Puja, and Shradh Puja. Jyeshtha Amavasya is one of the most important Amavasya festivals in Hinduism since it commemorates Lord Shani's birth anniversary. Amavasya June 2024: Significance Of Jyeshtha Amavasya 

Since bad energies and spirits are thought to be at their height during Amavasya, the day is very important for spiritual and religious acts. As a result, carrying out religious rites and activities on Jyeshtha Amavasya is considered extremely auspicious. People pray to their ancestors on this day, seeking their blessings of prosperity and peace. In addition, the fact that Shani Jayanti is observed on Jyeshtha Amavasya increases its importance. Worshipping Lord Shani, devotees ask for his blessings for a wealthy and contented life.  This day is observed by women in North India as Vat Savitri Vrat, a day dedicated to their husbands' welfare.

Amavasya June 2024: Rituals Associated With Jyeshtha Amavasya 

- On Jyestha Amavasya, taking a dip in holy rivers or other bodies of water is believed to be extremely fortunate. This ritual aids in clearing bad energy and cleansing the body, mind, and spirit.

- Another important ceremony held on Jyestha Amavasya is Tarpan. It entails making water offerings to ancestors and asking for their blessings. One can ask for blessings from their ancestors, pay off any ancestral debts, and foster spiritual development by playing the tarpan on Jyestha Amavasya.

- Donating food, clothing, or money to those in need is a custom on Jyestha Amavasya. On this day, doing noble deeds might help one receive blessings from the almighty and good karma.

- On Jyestha Amavasya, keeping a fast might aid in spiritual development and aid in the purification of the body, mind, and soul. On this day, fasting might help one fulfil their desires and get blessings from the divine.
