Ayudha Puja 2025: Rituals
Cleaning the house or workplace thoroughly is the first step in the diligent preparations for Ayudha Puja. Vehicles are washed and tools and equipment are cleaned. Vermillion tilaks and sandal paste are used to adorn statues and images of deities. Devotees dress Goddess Saraswati and Devi Lakshmi in red and white sarees. The scent of fresh flowers and the vivid hues of plantain stems and leaves fill the air. In order to obtain blessings for creativity and knowledge, writing instruments, books, and laptops are positioned before the deities, and mango leaf torans are hung at the front door.
