Chaiti Chhath Puja 2025: Rituals Of Usha Arghya

On Usha Arghya, women offer water to the rising Sun, marking the culmination of the 4-day Chaiti Chhath festivities. During sunrise, devotees gather near water bodies such as rivers or ponds, carrying traditional offerings like thekua, fruits and sugarcane.

Devotees offer these items to Lord Surya and Chhathi Maiya as a mark of gratitude and offer prayers for their family’s prosperity and health. As devotees pray and make their offerings, they express their appreciation for the Surya Dev’s life-giving energy and seek his protection.
