Das Lakshan Parva 2024: Rituals Associated With Das Lakshan Festival
During Das Lakshan Parva, Digambar Jains observe various rituals to reflect on and practise the 10 virtues. The festival commences with the installation of a sacred image of Lord Mahavira, accompanied by prayers and chanting. Devotees then engage in daily rituals, including meditation, prayer, and charity. They also undertake austerities like fasting, eating only once a day, or abstaining from certain foods. Additionally, they participate in processions, carrying images of Lord Mahavira, and perform pujas (worship services) at temples.
