Datta Jayanti 2023: Shri Gurucharitra is a sacred text based on the life of Guru Dattatreya, who is known as an incarnation of Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. t was first composed in Marathi by Saraswati Gangadhar, whose ancestor Sayamdeo had personally lived and served Shri Guru Nrusimha Saraswati with devotion, approximately 500 years ago.
In addition to being a recognised work of the Datta sect, it is an extension of the original work, Shri Gurucharitra, written by Saraswati Gangadhara in 1480 CE and preserved by divine and divine tradition. The Datta community in Maharashtra has acknowledged this book as Veda, and it is a popular book locally. Datta Jayanti 2023: Significance Of The Sacred Text Gurucharitra
There are 52 chapters in this book, and OVI is 7,491. There are 53 chapters in certain manuscripts. It is separated into Gnanakanda, Karmakanda, and Bhaktikanda coordination and how the guidance of the Guru is required for all three forms of worship. The book's author has provided a very lovely and perceptive explanation in his easily understood language. The remarkable Leelas of Shripadshrivallabh and Shrinirsimhasaraswati are vividly recounted in this book.
Furthermore, in honour of Shriguru's biography, his countless Leelas have been recounted in a style that is both elegant and easily understood. In addition, Vrat Vaiklye is mentioned and the travels of the lord are described. Ethics and morals are also taught in this sacred book.
Datta Jayanti 2023: Guidelines For Reading And Reciting Shri Gurucharitra
- "Parayana" is the practice of reciting a sacred or regal book in a certain way with intense devotion. Worshipping the Lord should always be done in an altruistic manner since Parayana shouldn't be carried out in order to diminish or terminate enjoyment. Parayana supplies the energy to bring pleasure to an end. Thus, the seeker ought to approach Parayana with an open mind.
- Some followers of Lord Dattatreya chant 51 or 100 ovas per day. Some read only five Ovas and certain devotees recite parayan once a year. One can practise this Parayana for one, three, or seven days. Reciting one of these days is not appropriate.
- Jnankanda is the first day of the three-day Parayana, followed by Karmakanda on day two and Bhaktikanda on day three. Week, which is equivalent to seven days in Parayana, is practical in every way.
- Women can also recite this pious book, However, reciting the sacred Gurucharitra must be avoided on sutak, soir and menses.
- There are no strict rules regarding how many chapters must be recited daily during the week.
