Devshayani Ekadashi 2025: Ashadhi Ekadashi or Devshayani Ekadashi, observed on the eleventh day (Ekadashi tithi) of Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashadha holds deep spiritual significance in Hinduism. It marks the beginning of Lord Vishnu’s cosmic slumber, known as Yog Nidra, which lasts for four months until Prabodhini Ekadashi. During this period, all major auspicious activities like marriages are paused. Devotees observe a day-long fast, offer prayers, and seek blessings for peace, protection, and spiritual growth. It also signifies the start of Chaturmas – a time for penance, self-discipline and reconnecting with divine energies. This year, Devshayani Ekadashi will be observed on 6th July 2025.
