In Hinduism, certain actions are believed to be inauspicious and potentially lead to untimely death, known as Akaal Mrityu. It's essential to avoid these actions to prevent attracting negative energies and ensure a peaceful life. Performing inauspicious acts can disrupt the balance of one's karma, leading to unforeseen consequences. By being mindful of these actions and avoiding them, individuals can promote a harmonious and prosperous life, free from the fear of untimely death. Awareness and caution are key to maintaining a positive and balanced life.

Below is the list of 7 things an individual must never do to avoid Akaal Mrityu or Untimely Death as per Hindu beliefs:

7 Things That Lead To Akal Mrityu Or Untimely Death

1. Atheism: People who promote atheism, disregard scriptures, disobey their guru, and engage in immoral behaviour face premature death. Their lifespan is shortened due to their actions, which go against the principles of dharma and spiritual growth. This ultimately leads to their downfall.

2. Doing These Things In Evening: Eating, sleeping, or indulging in sexual activities during sunrise or sunset hours (sandhya) can lead to a shortened lifespan. Instead, utilising this time for spiritual pursuits like worship, meditation, or contemplation can increase one's lifespan and bring happiness in this life and the next.

3. Disrespecting Surya Dev: Gazing at the sun during solar eclipses or at noon, and urinating or spitting while facing the sun, can lead to a reduced lifespan. These actions are considered inauspicious and can have negative consequences on one's health and longevity.

4. Illicit Or Extra-Marital Relationships: Engaging in illicit relationships with someone else's spouse can lead to a reduced lifespan. According to the scriptures, a man who commits adultery with another's wife, using deceit or force, will face severe consequences, including suffering in hell for many years.

5. Disrespecting Honourable People: Disrespecting saints, Vaishnavas, sages, or gurus by not showing humility or courtesy can lead to a reduced lifespan. Similarly, mistreating pregnant women, the elderly, or the weak by denying them passage or causing them harm can also have severe consequences.

6. Wearing Others’ Clothes Or Footwear: One should only accept and wear clothing or footwear gifted by their guru or as a blessing from the divine. Wearing used items from others can lead to a reduction in one's lifespan, as it's considered inauspicious and can attract negative energies.

7. Disrupting The Sacredness Of Temples And Religious Spots: Visiting temples without bathing or doing devotional acts is not allowed. Also, relieving yourself in fields, near temples, or under peepal trees can shorten your life. To live a long, healthy, and happy life, follow the scriptures' guidance. Doing so will bring you good fortune and prosperity.
