'Garbh' means womb in Sanskrit, and 'Sanskar' means enhancing knowledge and constructive attitudes. Ayurveda says that for your unborn child to grow healthily in the womb, the mother’s mind must be in a sound emotional and spiritual condition.

The mental state of the woman can have a significant impact on the development of her unborn child's basic personality. The practice of Garbha Sanskar can also assist the mother in focusing on her mental and emotional health. Let us know more about this practice further.

How Does The Mother Connect To Her Baby Inside The Womb Through Garbh Sanskar?

Garbh Sanskar teaches us that pleasant traits, or "Satwa Guna," are transferred to the newborn via reading a good book or listening to soothing music. The mother's positive outlook, her enjoyment of soft music, and her reading of tales of selfless acts all had an impact on her baby.

Mothers are the only beings with greater ability than God to instil certain traits in us. Indeed, women possess the ability to shape the human mind while it is still in the womb. Mothers have a crucial part in the changing of a human's DNA, which only occurs during pregnancy.

Scientific research demonstrates that a foetus is capable of reacting to outside stimuli that affect its mother. Negative pressure is placed on the baby's neurological system if the expectant mother experiences stress, anxiety, or depression.

When Can Expectant Mothers Start Garbh Sanskar?

Even though the baby's brain develops immediately after conception, they don't respond to touch, sound, or light until about the fourth month of life. Thus, one can begin the Garbh Sanskar practice during the fourth month of pregnancy. However, it's advisable to seek advice from a physician before beginning Garbh Sanskar.

According to Ayurveda, the baby may detect external stimuli like noise and music as well as the mother's emotions and feelings through Garbh Sanskar. Therefore, the mothers are not required to begin practising it until the fourth month. Simple habits can help mothers stay calm and optimistic during their pregnancy,
