Hanuman Jayanti 2025: 5 Important Life Lessons To Learn From Lord Hanuman

1. Always Be Loyal And Selfless For Your Closed Ones

Lord Hanuman's unshakeable devotion to Lord Rama and Mata Sita is a testament to his outstanding loyalty and selfless nature. For his Prabhu Lord Shri Ram, Lord Hanuman went to Lanka in search of Mata Sita which showcases his commitment towards his Lord. Notably, despite his remarkable strength and power, Lord Hanuman remained humble and grounded as exemplified by his encounter with Sursa, the mother of the Nagas or the serpents. By skillfully navigating this challenge, Lord Hanuman showcased that humility and modesty are vital complements to competence and strength. This encounter highlights the importance of being adaptable to situations and using intellect to find effective solutions rather than relying solely on power or pride. Lord Hanuman showcased that humility is an essential virtue.

2. Communication Is A Vital Component Of Good Leadership

During the construction of the Ram Setu or the bridge on the sea, Lord Hanuman showed great leadership skills by guiding and motivating the playful monkeys to complete the hard task. He also effectively led the Vanar Sena during the battle against the demon king Ravana. These episodes from the Ramayana highlight the importance of effective communication and resource management - two important skills that remain highly valuable in the present times. Lord Hanuman's ability to inspire and guide the army while maintaining kindness and respect is a great aspect of his leadership. Individuals should learn from him that by combining effective communication skills with kindness, a leader can achieve remarkable results and build strong relationships with his teammates. 3. Never Compromise Your On Your Morals

During the battle with Ravana's son Indraeet in Ashok Vatika, Lord Hanuman chose not to go against the Brahmastra - the powerful weapon created by Lord Brahma despite being capable of diminishing it. Instead, Bajrangbali showed respect by bowing to the Brahmastra, recognising the significance of that mystic weapon. This incident highlights the importance of holding onto one's values and principles, even in times of hardship. Lord Hanuman's actions reveal that compromising one's ideals for personal gain can have negative consequences in the future. One must stay true to their values just like Lord Hanuman, who has set an example of integrity.

4. Stay Calm Even In Challenging Situations Without Being Provoked

During his visit to Lanka, Lord Hanuman showcased remarkable composure and humour in the face of challenges. Despite being captured and made fun of by Ravana and his court members for his monkey form, Lord Hanuman chose not to get offended. Instead, he creatively extended his tail to create a seat and sat above it with dignity in Ravana's courtroom. This episode from the Ramayana showcases Lord Hanuman's ability to maintain a positive attitude in times of adversity. Despite facing criticism, Lord Hanuman effectively communicated Lord Rama's message of peace to Ravana. He teaches us that we must also stay composed and focused even in difficult times to overcome obstacles.

5. Adapt To Every Situation In Life And Use Your Wit

In Ramayana, Lord Hanuman demonstrated a practical approach towards solving problems by adapting his actions to suit the specific situation. Bajrangbali used creative and resourceful strategies such as using his tail to set Lanka on fire, lifting a mountain to retrieve a medicinal herb to save Lakshmana and transforming his form to defeat Sursa. His innovative and witty tactics also proved to be crucial in saving lives during the Ram-Ravan Yudh. We must learn to respond effectively to different challenges rather than relying on conventional thinking, just like Lord Hanuman. To survive and achieve success in this everchanging world, we must also learn to use our wit and become adaptable.
