Hanuman Jayanti 2025 is a highly revered festival in Hinduism, commemorating the birth of Lord Hanuman. This auspicious day falls on the full moon day or Purnima Chaitra, marking the culmination of the Chaitra month. As the most influential deity of the Kali Yuga, Lord Hanuman is believed to bestow immense strength, courage, intelligence and relief from life's troubles upon those who worship him with sincerity. Renowned as the greatest devotee of Lord Rama, Hanuman Ji is also considered one of the eight immortal beings on earth, earning him the title of Chiranjeevi Hanuman. This year, Hanuman Jayanti will be observed on 12th April 2025.

Hanuman Jayanti 2025: Significance
On the sacred occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, devotees worship Lord Hanuman and observe a fast to seek his blessings which are believed to bring relief from life's troubles. As the deity of strength and intelligence, Lord Hanuman's blessings are particularly sought after. It is believed that those who worship him on Hanuman Jayanti and on Tuesdays will be endowed with remarkable strength and intelligence. By paying homage to Lord Hanuman, devotees can tap into his divine energy and acquire the qualities that he embodies.

Hanuman Jayanti 2025: Puja Vidhi
To begin the Hanuman Jayanti Puja, wake up early and take a bath to purify your body and mind. Wear clean or new clothes to mark the significance of the occasion. Preferably, wear red or orange coloured clothes and avoid wearing black on this day.
Next, take a vow to perform the puja with utmost sincerity and devotion. Set up an altar facing east and cover it with a clean yellow or red cloth. Place an idol or picture of Lord Hanuman on the altar, creating a sacred space for worship.
The puja involves several rituals, including the invocation, abhishekam and offerings. Light an oil or ghee lamp and incense sticks to purify the surroundings and meditate upon Lord Hanuman to seek his presence. Perform the abhishekam by gently cleansing the idol with water, followed by Panchamrit and then again with water. Offer clothing, sandalwood paste, fruits and flowers to the deity.
After the abhishekam and offering, perform Lord Hanuman’s aarti. Chant the Hanuman Chalisa, Hanuman Ashtak or other Hanuman Stotras to seek the divine Lord’s blessings. Perform the aarti using a ghee lamp and ringing a bell, seeking forgiveness for any mistakes and praying for the well-being of all beings. Distribute the prasad among family members and devotees, marking the completion of the puja.
