Indira Ekadashi 2025: Indira Ekadashi is a sacred fasting day for Hindus. It takes place on the 11th day of the waning moon in the Ashwin month, usually in September or October. Since it occurs during Pitru Paksha, it i also called ‘Ekadashi Shraddh.’ People fast on this day to bring peace to their deceased relatives and keep them from suffering after death. Devotees also offer prayers to Lord Vishnu for eternal success. This year, Indira Ekadashi Vrat falls on 17th September 2025.
