Scientific Aspect Behind Throwing Coin In River

The custom of tossing money into the sacred river, which dates back around a millennium, also has scientific roots. In contrast to today, the majority of historical money was made of copper or other precious metals. Additionally, submerging copper coins in water aided in the destruction of dangerous microorganisms, protecting human health. Water purifiers were nonexistent in the past. Rivers and storage tanks were therefore the only sources of drinking water.
