Kalashtami December 2025: The Kalashtami Vrat holds special significance in Sanatan Dharma. This day is dedicated to Kaal Bhairav, the fierce form of Lord Shiva. Kalashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami Tithi of the Krishna Paksha of every month. It is believed that observing a vrat on this day and worshipping Kaal Bhairav with proper rituals frees devotees from all kinds of fears, sufferings, and negative energy, and also bestows the blessings of Lord Shiva. The last Kalashtami Vrat of 2025 will be observed on 11th December 2025.

Kalashtami December 2025: Significance

Baba Kaal Bhairav is considered the "punisher." Worshipping him removes all suffering, disease, fear of enemies, and negative forces from life. According to astrological beliefs, this day is especially special for those with Kaal Sarp Dosh, Pitru Dosh, or any affliction related to the planet Saturn in their horoscope. Lighting a mustard oil lamp and reciting Bhairav Ashtak on this day helps dispel negative energy from the home and mind.

Kalashtami December 2025: Puja Vidhi

On Kalashtami Vrat, the devotees must take a sacred bath in the morning and worship Lord Shiva and Bhairava, and be sure to visit the temple to worship Baba Kaal Bhairav. To worship him, first offer Ganga Jal to Baba Kaal Bhairav. Then, offer fruits, flowers, incense, lamps, sweets, paan patta and supari to Baba. Light incense sticks and a mustard oil lamp in front of the deity, and especially offer Imarti or Jalebi to Kaal Bhairav. Feeding dogs on this day is considered very auspicious, as the dog is Lord Kaal Bhairav's vehicle. Devotees can also make donations to the needy to receive the blessings of the divine lord.
